Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home

A letter from Larry & Linda Thompson.

At Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral we pride ourselves on serving our home towns of Nappanee and Wakarusa.  We are both graduates of NorthWood High School, as are our children, and we strive to give the families we serve the compassionate, home town care the communities of Nappanee and Wakarusa are known for.

We are deeply committed to our community.  Larry has been involved with the Nappanee Kiwanis Club, American Red Cross, and many other philanthropic agencies over his 50 years of services.  He served on the Nappanee Fire Department, Nappanee Park Department, Wa-Nee Community Schools Board of Education, and as Mayor of Nappanee for 5 terms.  Linda's outside interests include Psi Iota Xi sorority and the Nappanee Home & Garden Club and she continues to serve our community through various ventures.

Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home is truly a family owned and operated business. We bought the business from Carl and Wavy Yoder in 1983, and have been proud to serve generations of families in the Nappanee area for almost 40 years.  In 1998 we built our second location in Wakarusa, and ever since we have strived to give the families of Nappanee and Wakarusa top notch service and care in their biggest times of need.  Our children, Tara Lengacher, and her husband Jody, along with our son Patrick Thompson, are all licensed funeral directors who live in and serve our community.  Patrick, and his wife Jen, recently became ownership partners and strive to continue the caring legacy we have built through dedicated service to our families and community.

Like you, we appreciate having good neighbors we can trust. We have built our reputation on the trust of friends and neighbors who have turned to us for sound advice and personal funeral services at the passing of a loved one. You can depend on Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Homes to be there for you and your family in your time of need.
